SAIA CPD VALIDATION PROCESS
Thank you for your enquiry to validate a presentation for SACAP Category 1 CPD points.
- The application fee for validation for a full day event is R10 865.00 plus VAT which will have a Category 1 allocation of 1 CPD point. This validation is valid for 1 year as will be indicated on the validation letter which you will receive once the application has been approved and full payment has been received.
The second and third years are charged at 50% of the first year. For courses that are 1-5 hours in duration the cost is R7,950.00 plus VAT. The CPD points are allocated per hour i.e. 1 hour is 0.1 CPD point. For 2-5 day event the cost is R18,190.00 plus VAT. - Please apply as per the process below, including the programme for the day’s event if applicable:
- Applying for validation is an online process at https://eportal.saia.org.za/cpd-activity-validation.
- Please complete the online application form, submit a synopsis of the programme and speakers and the CVs of all speakers. For re-validations, submit only the documents for the items that have changed eg. Presenter’s CV or if the course has changed then submit the new or revised course presentation.
- Once you have cleared your cart, an invoice will be generated for payment. Please send us the POP for our records.
- We will then download all documents which our Executive for Practice and CPD will examine and either approve or make recommendations of changes required.
- Once approved, we will then issue the notification of validation letter.
- Please download the register template from our ePortal USING this link https://eportal.saia.org.za/cpd-registration-upload.
- Once the course has been completed, email the completed register to cpd@saia.org.za.
- The register will be uploaded and can then be accessed via our portal by the attendees for their CPD certificates.

SAIA CPD RE-VALIDATION PROCESS
To re-validate for the second and third years in the 3-year cycle,
- log into your account on the SAIA eportal,
- browse to MY ACCOUNT,
- click on the ORDERS menu,
- find the completed CPD validation order that you wish to revalidate and click on the DETAILS button. This will open the details of the validation order.
- Browse to the bottom of the page and click on the RE-ORDER button. This creates a new order in the shopping cart with the exact same details as the original order. Should you wish not to change anything on the order details, click the Agree to T & Cs box and then click on CHECKOUT.
- Proceed to make payment via EFT.
- Should you wish to change some of the order details, click on the small Edit link (in red) at the bottom. You may now edit the details for the revalidation.
- Once finalised click on the ADD TO CART at the bottom to proceed. Click the Agree to T & Cs box and then click on CHECKOUT.
- Proceed to make payment via EFT.
